The 100th Day of School!

What an awesome day we had celebrating the 100th day of school!

Earlier in the week, we made our "gum ball" machines that now decorate our door!

The kiddos had fun walking through our "new door"!
We spent some time this morning making 100 year old portraits! They turned out great and everyone did a great job following directions!

During Reading Groups, we wrote about what we would spend $100 on!

During math, we made ten groups of ten fruit loops! After we counted them, we strung them to make necklaces!

To end our day, we had a mini-parade in our classroom! We turned music on and each student had a chance to show off their 100th day shirts, necklaces, and crowns! I didn't get pictures of everyone but I did get quite a few! Check out all of the creative shirts!

We had a great day.

I want to thank the parents for helping their child make a 100th day shirt! They loved showing them off today!

Monday Blues

Is Monday a hard day to get your child out of bed?

A Bursley parent has started a new program to get the children excited about Mondays! Every Monday she will be reading stories in the library from 8:30-8:50. All Kindergarten and first grade students are welcome!

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me!

More Penguin Fun

Penguin Day was a very busy day! We didn't have enough time to complete all of our activities so we continued them last week!

The kiddos were given crackers and they had to decide if Percy the Penguin could share them equally with his buddy!

Superstar Student

Our superstar student for the past two weeks (The snow days mixed us up a little bit!!) was Olivia! Olivia is a great friend and we loved learning more about her! The kiddos really enjoyed seeing pictures of her baby brother!

Bursley vs. Pinewood

The Bursley staff played the Pinewood staff in a basketball game on January 21st! The night was full with laughter, basketball, and fun!

We were lucky enough to have some Kindergarten girls cheering the team on! They did a great job! Here are some photos from the big event:
